Sydney to face Wellington without Cole

Sydney FC defender Shannon Cole will miss his second match in a row after not coming up for tomorrow’s Preliminary Final against Wellington Phoenix.

The 24-year old injured his hamstring on international debut for Australia a week-and-a-half ago and was forced out of the major semi-final second leg against Melbourne Victory last Sunday.

Sky Blues coach Vitezslav Lavicak confirmed that Cole would also miss the Sydney Football Stadium clash with the Phoenix.

“He has a special training program, he's very keen to play," Lavicka said.

"But he's not ready so we keep him and hopefully he will be available for the grand final if we make it."

Seb Ryall, who filled Cole’s vacancy last week, will remain in the right-back position for tomorrow’s clash.
