Sydney captain McFlynn has one-match ban extended

Sydney FC's Terry McFlynn has been handed an additional one-match ban following the red card he received against Suwon Bluewings in early March.

The Sky Blues skipper will miss Wednesday night's Asian Champions League clash with Shanghai Shenhua at home and also the April 13 home clash with Kashima Antlers.

Sydney have not played a competitive match since the March contest with Suwon as their March 16 meeting with Kashima was postponed due to the earthquake in Japan.

Tomorrow night's fixture against Shanghai will be their first in five weeks and Vitezslav Lavicka and his men will be hoping for a positive result against the team currently sitting on the bottom of Group H.
