Swindon Town have signed Liverpool defender Lloyd Jones on a season-long loan.

Jones, 20, joins from Liverpool, and made two appearances while on loan at Blackpool in League One last season.

He signed for Liverpool from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2011 but has yet to feature for the Premier League club at first team level.

However, the former England under-20 international centre-back has had previous loan spells at Cheltenham Town, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool.

Jones had an injury-hit time at Blackpool in League One last season, during which he made a total of 11 appearances.
