Swindon loanee Luongo keen to sway Tottenham minds

Massimo Luongo is looking to use his season-long loan with Swindon Town to impress Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The 20-year old Australian midfielder did well during his stay at the County Ground last campaign and is now looking to kick on in League One in order to put his best foot forward for Spurs in the future.

Luongo is joined by fellow Tottenham youngsters Grant Hall, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard at Swindon and is hoping to bring some joy to the Robins supporters.

"It's good having the Tottenham boys here, they are really the spine of the team in terms of their positions and I think we will hopefully give the fans some good games to watch and some results also," Luongo told SBS.

"The fans took to me last year but we'll see how it is this year if results don't always go our way.

"The important thing for me is to get matches under my belt and make my mark. I haven't caught the eye of AVB at Spurs as I would have liked, but maybe this is another way of doing it."
