Swindon have confirmed the permanent transfer of Simon Cox from Reading has been completed.

Both the Premier League and Football League have ratified the deal and Cox, who was on loan at the Robins between August 2007 and January 2008, could feature for Town's reserves against Bristol City on Tuesday.

Swindon chief executive Nick Watkins told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have Simon on board on a permanent basis and we are pleased to confirm the deal has now been completed.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Reading, the Football League and the Premier League for their assistance and we now wish Simon every success in his career with Swindon Town Football Club."
