Swindon are unconcerned that they may become the latest club to face a winding-up order but admit there is a "dispute between parties". Newspaper reports had claimed that property company St Modwen were seeking an order over the non-repayment of a £2.45million loan but the League One club are confident of resolving the issue.
A club statement said: "Swindon Town Football Company Limited's financial statements for the period to May 31 2009 clearly show this matter as subject to a dispute between the parties.
"This matter dated back to 2003 where the club's former holding company established a joint venture company, Shaw Park Developments Ltd, with St Modwen.
"Discussion between the parties have been ongoing for some time now and though no resolution has been reached the club will continue to use all endeavours to bring the matter to satisfactory conclusion."
