Swedish whizkid Kristoffer Peterson is pleased with his progress at Liverpool.

The 17 year-old striker has been promoted to first team training with Brendan Rodgers' squad short of strikers.

"I've been training with the A squad for a week," said Peterson.

"Clearly, it is incredibly great to train with players like Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez. The training sessions are closed, so I cannot give you details, but I can say it went very well for me.

"It is great to get to play in the same team as Jamie Carragher, Stewart Downing and other talented players."
