Swansea City forgotten man Michu looks to be leaving the South Wales club and returning to his native Spain with Rayo Vallecano.

Michu starred for the Swans during the 2013/14 season, but has been hampered with injuries ever since and has spent last season on loan at Italian side Napoli.

The 29-year-old has suffered from a recurring ankle problem and will return to Spain in the hope of rebuilding his career.

Michu may also be joined by Leon Britton on the way out of the Liberty Stadium this summer, as the veteran midfielder has not been included in the club's pre-season tour of Germany.
