Swansea City's Spanish striker Michu is reportedly considering retirement after enduring another operation on his troublesome ankle.

Wales Online is reporting the 29-year-old is currently in Spain trying to build his fitness and return to playing shape following the operation on his ankle.

Celtic, Granada and Rayo Vallecano have all expressed an interest in Michu, but are not prepared to honour his current wage demands of £40,000 a week.

However, it is understood Michu is now considering calling time on his professional career after having his past two campaigns thwarted by injury.

Michu has scored 28 goals in 67 appearances for Swansea.
