Swansea striker Dobbie leans on Blackpool experience for playoff

Swansea City striker Stephen Dobbie is ready for a second Premier League promotion playoff in two years.

Dobbie can draw comparisons between the Blackpool side of last May and the current Swans set up.

"The gaffer (Brendan Rodgers) is fantastic and I'm sure you've all seen the videos of Ian Holloway, he's just a character the same as the gaffer," Dobbie said.

"He's turned the team around from defending into attacking.

"There are similarities with the team spirit as well, it shows when we go away on activity days and everyone's together.

"There's good banter and I think that's what sets you in good stead for the big games."

On a personal level, Dobbie added: "For me growing up and watching finals at Wembley, obviously this is a new one, I would never have thought I would be there once let alone twice in two years.

"So it's a dream for me and the boys are buzzing for it."

Regarding this year's encounter, Dobbie believes neither Swansea or Reading can be separated going into the clash.

"I wouldn't say we're favourites. They've been on a fantastic run, especially to go and play Cardiff and beat them 3-0 (in the semi-final) on their own patch," he added.

"I think we're going in, I would say together."
