Swansea City striker Bafetmbi Gomis is in hot water with Marseille fans.

Gomis has been a revelation on-loan with OM this season and has worn the captain's armband in recent weeks.

However, he angered fans by suggesting he could re-sign for St Etienne in the future.

"I've asked the coach and the president to meet with the leaders of supporters to discuss it," he said after victory over Nancy, which saw anti-Gomis banners displayed.

"The fans are an important part of a club and my words were misinterpreted."
