Swansea skipper Williams accepts Wales hook

Swansea City captain Ashley Williams has said that he accepted Wales boss Chris Coleman's decision to play him only for 45 minutes in the 3-2 friendly defeat against Holland.

Before the game, Coleman was involved in a war of words with Swansea boss Garry Monk after the latter argued that it was wrong for players to play in meaningless friendlies at this point of the season.

"I am not sure what the plan was but the gaffer told me before the game I would be playing 45," Williams revealed.

"I kind of looked at him and saw that it wasn't up for negotiation and accepted it.

"It's a friendly game but I am always going to come and represent the country, so I do just what I am told.

"I was told I was coming off at half-time so that's what I did."
