Swansea skipper Monk: Spain trip will be no jolly
Swansea City captain Garry Monk doesn't want any slacking off for their trip to Spain.
Swans are set for a break in Tenerife next week.
“But we’re going out there to work – and work hard. With the climate and facilities out there, it will allow us to put in some high-intensity sessions.
“Of course, there will be some time to relax – which is important for recovery – but this trip couldn’t have come at a better time as it will also give some of the new faces a chance to bond further with the group.
“It’s not too long ago that if you mentioned going away, we would have been thinking Fairwood Common near Swansea.”But club captain Monk, 32, said: “I’m sure there will be people who will say we are going away on a jolly.
