Swansea City skipper Garry Monk says the players have met with new manager Michael Laudrup.

Today the squad step up their comeback with fitness testing before hitting the training ground later in the week.

"The new gaffer came across very well," said skipper Monk.

"He spoke with us for a good 10 minutes on how he wants to take us forward this season.

"We are all looking forward to working with him and can't wait to get out onto the training ground.

"It was good to see all the boys again. They all look fit and well - and it's good to be back."
