Swansea City's Fernando Llorente admits he came close to joining Chelsea during the winter transfer window.
The Spanish striker was wanted at Stamford Bridge by his former Juventus boss Antonio Conte last month but ultimately, it was Swansea's decision to keep him at the Liberty Stadium amidst their relegation battle.
Llorente, 31, has scored eight goals in 21 Premier League outings for the 17th-placed Welsh side.
"I already know Conte from Juventus," Llorente told reporters.
"But it's difficult in the winter when there's a way out from a side you're playing for and it's normal that they didn't go ahead with the deal.
"I'm very focused on the team and am looking forward to helping save us from relegation."
