Swansea's Williams confirmed as Ramsey replacement for Wales captaincy

Swansea City defender Ashley Williams has been confirmed as the new captain of the Wales national team.

The Swans skipper has been handed the captain's armband by Dragons manager Chris Coleman, replacing Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey.

The midfielder was appointed as captain by the late Gary Speed but Williams will now lead the side into upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Scotland and Croatia.
