Swansea's Sigurdsson sees similarities between Bony and Tottenham's Kane

Swansea City attacking midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson believes teammate Wilfried Bony and former colleague Harry Kane have plenty of similarities in their play.

Ivory Coast international Bony has been a revelation for the Swans since joining from Vitesse Arnhem in July 2013 while the talented Kane is beginning to impress more and more with Spurs.

Sigurdsson has played with both players and can see parallels, however, he believes Bony already has the runs on the board in terms of his scoring record.

"They are similar in the sense that they are players who can score goals from nothing," he told Sky Sports as Swansea prepare for Sunday's meeting with Spurs.

"They have a wonderful finish. Bony is probably physically stronger than Kane but I think Harry Kane comes a little bit deeper to pick up the ball sometimes.

"He is very direct, strong in the air, a strong lad and has been doing very well for Spurs from the beginning of the season and I am sure he will have a good career.

"Bony has been doing it for a few years now in the Premier League and his record is second to none."

Since arriving at the Liberty Stadium, Bony has 24 goals in 49 Premier League outings - including a league record 19 this calendar year - while 21-year old Kane has scored five in his 22 appearances in England's top flight.
