Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has turned down the chance to speak to Liverpool regarding their managerial vacancy.

The 39-year old Swans boss was officially approached by the Reds, who are looking to replace Kenny Dalglish, but rejected the opportunity.

"Swansea City can confirm that an approach from Liverpool FC to speak to manager Brendan Rodgers was officially received by club chairman Huw Jenkins this morning," read a club statement.
