Swansea City defender Angel Rangel has labelled Real Madrid as ‘nasty’ and ‘powerless’ following their Champions League exit at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.

Jose Mourinho’s men beat the Germans 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday night but lost the semi-final 4-3 on aggregate with Spanish right-back Rangel full of praise for Dortmund but not so much Madrid.

"I feel like I have to praise Borussia Dortmund. Madrid were unfortunate as always, nasty, provocative and powerless," he posted on Twitter.

"Congratulations to a great team Borussia Dortmund. As it should be, the team from Germany, are a great example of how to use younger players.”
