Swansea's Laudrup: We handled Liverpool's Suarez and Gerrard

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has praised his players for the way they performed in today's 0-0 draw with Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans kept their first clean sheet in 11 matches and although they had some decent chances to score, Laudrup was pleased with the showing, especially from a defensive point of view.

"I think it was a good point, I think we deserved that point," said the Dane.

"In the first half they had more chances than us but we had chances too and I am pleased with the performance.

"You know when you play against (Luis) Suarez and (Steven) Gerrard they can always invent something, but I think we handled it well.

"Suarez did some good things, but maybe less than he is used to as he played against two guys who did very well."
