Swansea's Laudrup under no illusions about Southampton trip

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup is well aware that this weekend's trip to Southampton will be a difficult test.

The Swans, who have won just one of their last eight Premier League matches, travel to St Mary's to take on the bottom-of-the-table Saints on Saturday but Laudrup knows it will be no walk over for his side.

"Southampton are dangerous because of the position they are in. It is sometimes easier to play the bigger teams as they give you more space," said the Dane who feels talk of sacking Saints boss Nigel Adkins is far too premature.

"They are in the bottom three - we want to win, they need to win. But it's not how you start, it's how you finish. At the end of the season the best team are champions, the worst three teams go down.

"Where a team is struggling they always look at the manager. It is easier to change one person than 15 players, but over here we do seem to have more patience than in southern Europe."
