Swansea's Laudrup pleased with performance of Bony in Kuban draw
Michael Laudrup was happy to see Wilfried Bony maker another step forward in his adjustment to English football.
The Ivory Coast striker, who joined the Swans from Vitesse Arnhem for £12million in the summer, netted early in Swansea's 1-1 draw with Kuban Krasnodar on Thursday night and his display in the absence of injured star Michu was praised by his manager.
"There were positives for every forward, but it was important for him to score a goal," said Laudrup.
"He had a chance to come in, he was very active and involved in a lot of good movements.
"He got a little tired but that's okay for me because it is important we get the best out of him and it was a big step in the right direction, so I'm happy for him as he scored a goal and goals are so important for forwards."
Bony has now scored a total of eight goals in 17 appearances for Swansea, including five in the Europa League, two of which have come in the group stage proper.
