Swansea's Ki surpasses Man Utd great Park to set new South Korean record

Swansea City's Ki Sung-yueng has become the first South Korean player to score more than five goals in a Premier League season.

Ki's 19th-minute effort in Wednesday night's 3-2 loss to Tottenham at White Hart Lane was the Taeguk Warriors' captain's sixth goal of the 2014/15 Premier League campaign.

The goal edged Ki past former Manchester United star Park Ji-sung who became the first South Korean player to reach five in one season.

Ki, 26, joined Swansea from Scottish giants Celtic in August 2012 with these six goals being the only ones he has netted for the Welsh club.
