Swansea City have joined the battle for Tottenham winger Andros Townsend.
The Mirror says Aston Villa have targeted the 23-year-old England winger.
Villa boss Tim Sherwood, a champion of young English players, sees Townsend as a player capable of making a big contribution to his side next season.
Swansea boss Garry Monk, however, is also a big fan and has a long-standing interest.
Townsend, who has three years left on his contract, is keen to fight for his place at Spurs and prove he is capable of being a success at White Hart Lane.
