Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has backed Swansea City for their decision to sack Michael Laudrup.
The Northern Irishman's former club ended their affiliation with the Dane this week after falling perilously close to the Premier League relegation zone in a move that Rodgers feels the Welsh outfit had every right to perform.
"It's always sad when a manager loses his job - and Michael has done an excellent job - but they feel they have had to make a change," he said.
"It's a real special football club. They've made the correct decisions over a decade to get from League Two to being an established Premier League team."
