The Daily Mirror reports that Premier League club Swansea City are set to make a £4million bid for Saint-Etienne's Franck Tabanou if the French club miss out on Champions League qualification.
Swans boss Garry Monk is in the market for a left-back and former France U21 international Tabanou, who can also provide cover in midfield, is a long-term target of the Welsh club.
Swansea expressed their interest in the 25-year old in January, but Saint-Etienne refused to negotiate as they were involved in the Ligue 1 chase for Champions League action.
Les Verts are currently placed fourth in the France's top flight, two points behind third-placed Monaco with four fixtures remaining.
