Swansea playmaker Ki eager to show Liverpool's Allen he's not missed

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung wants to prove to Liverpool's Joe Allen that he's not missed at the Liberty.

Ki was signed from Celtic to replace fans' favourite Allen after he left for Liverpool last summer.

Tomorrow they come face-to-face at Anfield and Ki said: "Joe's a very good player and hopefully I can show I'm a good player too.

"He can pass, he can do the defensive work very well and just knows how to play football.

"Some people want me to be better than Joe was but I respect him too much for that.

"I'm obviously bigger than him and have different aspects to my game but we're similar in our way of thinking about the game and wanting to pass the ball."
