Swansea City midfielder Leon Britton feels Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp would be the ideal England coach.
Britton played for Redknapp at West Ham United.
He told The Sun: "I think we all want an English manager to take over and Harry has proved over many years in the Premier League that he is a top manager.
"We've had managers who had great records at club level but couldn't replicate that when managing England - but Harry could do it.
"He would give the England players so much confidence because his man-management skills are brilliant.
"When I was in the youth team at West Ham he used to come along to FA Youth Cup games, which were a really big thing back then.
"He would come in the changing room at half-time and say, 'Get the little fella on the ball.' It made me feel 10ft tall.
"I'm sure he would do the same to the England players." "If you did a poll tomorrow, he would come out on top.
