Swansea City remain keen on French teenage defender Darnel Situ.

The Daily Mail says Situ was set to join Swansea from Lens in the summer but failed to gain international clearance despite a fee of £250,000 being agreed.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said: "Hopefully we can close that deal in January and Darnel will be a development player for us. He is not ready to come straight into the first team, but he is a good kid who is hungry to do well."
