Swansea City are closing on a deal for FC Twente striker Luc Castaignos.

WalesOnline says Swans are reportedly in advanced talks with FC Twente over Castaignos.

Boss Garry Monk made a move for the former Inter Milan frontman last summer, having a £6.5m bid agreed before finalising his Bosman swoop for Bafetimbi Gomis.

Now, with Wilfried Bony's departure heightening Monk's desire for extra attacking options, it is being claimed Monk has given the green-light to go back in for the 22-year-old with reports in the Netherlands claiming discussions over a deal are at an advanced stage.
