Swansea News: Rangel calls for home improvement; Supporters Trust in crisis

Swansea City captain Angel Rangel admits they must improve their Liberty form.

The Swans have registered one win and five defeats from their six league games at the Liberty Stadium.

Rangel told the club's website: "The Liberty is our home and needs to be a fortress, which we want it to be for the rest of the season.

"If you want to stay in the Premier League, your home form is the most important thing.

"We have had some bad performances at home so far, but we must put them behind us and look to start afresh at the Liberty."

Meanwhile, the Swansea City Supporters Trust has been engulfed by crisis.

Will Morris, who had served on the Trust board for more than a decade, took over as chairman on Friday to fill the vacancy left by the departure of Phil Sumbler .

But having sought to open communication with club supporters via social media and internet forums, he claimed he suffered personal attacks that he was not prepared to accept, nor subject his family to.

A Trust statement said: “We are sorry that he has decided to leave the board at this time, and his significant contribution will be missed.

“A further announcement regarding the chairman's position will be made following the next Trust board meeting at the beginning of December."
