Swansea City have made a move for Italy midfielder Alessandro Diamanti.

The attacker is currently on the books of Palermo, having spent part of last season with West Ham.

Sky Italia says Swans have attempted to open talks with Palermo about a deal for Diamanti this week.

However, the Rosanero are reluctant to do business, despite the veteran struggling to get off the bench this season.

Diamanti has also been linked with a return to China.
