Swansea City will open discussions with Mike van der Hoorn on Friday, according to reports.

Sky Sports suggests that the Ajax defender will arrive in Wales before holding talks with the Swans on Friday and if all goes well, he will undergo a medical on Saturday.

The 23-year-old defender only featured 18 times under Frank De Boer last season but is keen to leave Amsterdam to take the next step in his career.

Van der Hoorn is likely to cost the Swans £2million and will become Francesco Guidolin's first summer signing.
