Sevilla are willing to trigger the permanent option in their deal for Roque Mesa.

The midfielder joined Sevilla in January on-loan from Swansea City with the option to be signed outright for €8m.

Though he was frozen out by coach Vincenzo Montella, since the Italian's sacking his prospects have improved.

Mesa stated yesterday: "You always want to play and be involved. I have had the confidence of (Joaquin) Caparrós and I thank him very much. I'm very happy and I'm going to try to enjoy it, although the season is coming to an end and hopefully next year I can continue here."
