Adam King proved to be the difference as Crewe Alexandra came away with a hard-fought win at Shrewsbury Town on the weekend.
The Welsh midfielder, who is on loan from Swansea City until January 6, netted his third League One goal of the season (and fourth in all competitions) as Crewe managed a 1-0 result at Greenhous Meadow.
King picked up possession after some good work from Lauri Dalla Valle before driving forward and firing home beyond Jayson Leutwiler inside two minutes to give the Railwaymen a dream start.
The scoreline, however, did not change for the remainder of the contest as Steve Davis' side grabbed their first victory of the 2015/16 season.
King's Swans colleague Stephen Kingsley played a full 90 minutes for Crewe while Liverpool's Harry Wilson was an unused sub as Crystal Palace's Sullay Kaikai came on in the second half for the Shrews.
