Swansea midfielder Jack Cork: We must learn from this season

Swansea City midfielder Jack Cork is confident they'll learn from this season's relegation battle.

A three-day trip to the Spanish sunshine last week was Swansea's reward for securing their top-flight status with a 2-0 win at Sunderland which preceded Hull City's 4-0 defeat at Crystal Palace.

"Last season was similar to this in that we either had good spells or bad spells. We need to find some consistency and I'm sure the manager will provide that next season," said Cork.

"You can't afford to keep flirting with relegation. You've seen it a lot in the past with clubs like Wigan and Sunderland so we need to start the season better.

"The manager has made us a lot more organised and given us a lot more confidence in ourselves and our shape. We've played a couple of shapes and he's really thorough in his preparation.

"Everyone knows what they're meant to be doing, defensively and offensively, and we go through a lot of match analysis on teams. He's knows we can do it and he passes that confidence on, especially with him having the experience he's got at the big clubs he's been at."
