With Sunday’s showdown being beamed into what the Premier League claim as 720m homes across 212 territories, no more can the frenzied fixture be described as Wales’ best-kept secret.
De Guzman told the South Wales Echo: “Wherever you are, derbies are great games to play in with the atmosphere and the fans in the build-up. This is no different.
“I didn’t know much about the rivalry here before I came, but the more time I spend here the more I’ve learned about it and seen what it’s all about.
“It’s a big game for everyone, for the city, all the people here and the club itself and it’ll be an honour to be a part of it.
“People across the world are looking forward to this. It’s a big game in the Premier League – and hopefully one we can win.”
