Swansea City midfielder Jonathan de Guzman wants to sign permanently from Villarreal.

He sees it as his best chance of going to the 2014 World Cup finals with Holland.

He revealed: "It's every footballer's dream to play in a World Cup. Now I'm in the squad, I've got to take my chance. I feel confident we will make it to the World Cup and, hopefully, I can be a part of it."

De Guzman added: "Winning the Capital One Cup and doing so well with Swansea, as well as winning a Dutch cap, is all a bonus for me.

"It would be good for me to stay here."
