The keeper, who signed a new four-year contract on Thursday, is expecting a physical test in his first game at the Britannia.
He said: "I don't mind that side of the game. There were some games last season when I had bruises on my face after the final whistle.
"I'm not afraid of anybody. I've practised with tackle bags. It's good preparation for matches like this.
"But it is not only for the games against Stoke because other teams have some physical players."
