Swansea insist Burnley must up Scotland offer

Swansea City insist Burnley's offer for Jason Scotland has fallen well short.

Scotland's agent, Mike Berry, revealed to the media earlier in the day that the Clarets had bid in excess of £1million for the Welsh club's 24-goal top-scorer.

Chairman Huw Jenkins told the club's official website: "Burnley have made an approach for Jason Scotland, but our valuation for a player who has finished our top scorer for the last two seasons is miles apart.

"We value Jason very highly; after all he has scored 53 goals in the last two seasons for us."
