Swansea City hero Michu is set to announce his retirement.

Michu, after making the move to hometown club Real Oviedo, hinted he was hanging up the boots this year due to constant injuries.

"I have a pain that is not going to leave me," he explained. "I just wanted to prove how far I could go with it."

The striker still has a year on his Oviedo deal, but the club understands his decision.

Michu could remain with Oviedo, however, as a coach or sporting director.
