Swansea in good position in Europa League - Laudrup

Michael Laudrup felt his Swansea City side were in a very strong position in Group A of the Europa League.

The Welsh club beat St Gallen 1-0 on Thursday night to make it two wins from two group stage outings and the manager believes things are looking very good for his group as they sit on top of the table ahead of the Swiss outfit and Spain's Valencia who have both saluted once so far.

"We are in a really good position because Valencia won away (at Kuban Krasnodar), and St Gallen won their first game at home. So now, after two games, we have six, with two teams on three who have to play each other," the Dane said.

"If we can win the next game against Kuban, we will be in a really, really good position.

"From my experience in the group stage, you have to win your home games. You need maybe ten points, so if we win the next game, we will need one point from three games, but if we can be top of the group, even better."
