Swansea City fullback Alan Tate is surprised teammate Nathan Dyer has missed out on England selection.
Tate believes Dyer should have been given an opportunity to shine on the international stage.
He told talkSPORT: "[Dyer] did really well last year and he started off the season with two goals good goals at QPR.
"Am I surprised he got overlooked? On form, probably yes. In terms of geographically, no. Nathan should have been given a chance, that's my opinion.
"We've got a few lads who could go and do a job for England. You've got Nathan, Leon [Britton] and last year you had Scott Sinclair but he's moved on to Manchester City so his chances might improve.
"People still look at us as a one off year and they're waiting for us to fall."
