Swansea City fullback Angel Rangel says Tottenham star Gareth Bale faces huge expectations moving to Real Madrid.
Once the £86million deal goes through, Bale will be the costliest player in history , earning £1.24m a MONTH.
Spaniard Rangel warned: "He now ranks alongside Messi and Ronaldo. He is going to the most famous club in the world - living in Spain - and will face pressures he's never known."
Rangel's been at Swansea for six years, but still has close contacts in Spain.
He said: "The important thing for Bale is that he has to be grounded. The expectations on him by the supporters will be enormous. So will the attention of the media. He will need to quickly learn the language to be able to feel part of the dressing room.
"And he has to make sure he does not simply get carried away by it all. Madrid is the capital of Spain, the night life there is so good... temptations are there. So are the cameras.
"So many good players have gone to Real Madrid and failed because they allowed themselves to be swept away by the glamour - they haven't looked after themselves."
