Swansea form worries Monk - 'We won't get anywhere playing like that'

Garry Monk admits he is slightly concerned about Swansea City's recent run of form.

The Welsh side lost 2-0 at West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night with their past seven Premier League fixtures producing just one victory.

Following the deserved loss to the Baggies, Monk spoke of his side's performance and feels that things for the Swans are not quite going to plan at this stage of the season.

"It is everything," Monk told Sky Sports. "We lacked in all areas today.

"From the start we didn't play with that tempo, we were missing too many passes and we were not accurate enough. In the end we got what we deserved."

Swansea won five and drew three of their opening 11 league matches this season but have fallen away much to the chagrin of their manager who admits he has to keep things realistic at the Liberty Stadium.

"It is my job to make sure complacency doesn't creep in," Monk added.

"We are in a position to achieve things that we haven't done in the league before.

"We won't get anywhere playing like that, but we need to pick ourselves up."
