Swansea City have opened talks with Wigan Athletic for striker Arouna Kone.

The Daily Mail says Swansea have opened talks with Wigan over a move for forward Arouna Kone, who is also wanted by Everton.

The Ivory Coast international, who has a £6.5million release clause, is one of the players identified by Laudrup and Swans officials hope signing the 29-year-old will help ease the tensions between Laudrup and Jenkins.
