Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers is eager to keep hold of goalkeeper Yves Makaba-Makalamby.
The Mirror says the 6ft 7in stopper, now 25, was relegated to fifth choice and eventually left Chelsea in 2007 to join Hibernian.
After three seasons in Scotland, he was again a free agent last summer until Swansea offered him a lifeline in September.
After a trial, Rodgers offered him a contract until the end of the season.
The Swansea boss, who has lost last season's first-choice keeper Dorus De Vries to Wolves this summer, has now offered Makalamby improved terms to keep him at the club.
