Swansea City boss Roberto Martinez wants to hold onto midfielder Jordi Gomez.
His future in Spain remains unresolved and is only likely to be determined once parent club Espanyol learn what division they will be playing in next season, with Swansea having first refusal to sign him while a number of Premier League clubs are rumoured to be interested. Gomez is being linked with Newcastle United and Celtic.
"Jordi has brought something extra to the team," Martinez told BBC Sport.
"We will talk to Jordi and if he can continue enjoying his football at Swansea City then we'll try everything we can to try and keep him, (but) only within certain structure and limits."
