Swansea demanding West Ham players in offer for Alfie Mawson

Swansea City are demanding West Ham include players in their offer for Alfie Mawson.

The Mirror says West Ham's hopes of signing Mawson from Swansea could hinge on Andre Ayew going the other way.

Ayew was a big favourite at the Liberty Stadium, reaching double figures in goals during his only season following a Bosman move from French giants Marseille, before a £20 million move to the Hammers in summer 2016.

He has struggled to hold down a place in the side though, and new boss David Moyes will be asked if he will let the Ghanaian return to south Wales as part of any deal for Mawson.

The Swans are reluctant to let Mawson, who has been a big success since joining them from Barnsley, leave the Liberty.

But they need to reshape their squad and a fee of around £23 million would give them funds to strengthen their attack or write off a fee for Ayew as part of any deal.
