Swansea defender Van der Hoorn happier under Carvalhal

Swansea City defender Mike van der Hoorn is enjoying his football under Carlos Carvalhal.

Van der Hoorn admits he struggled in the first-half of the season.

“Of course, these are nicer days to be a Swansea player, we are having a great run and we don't want it to stop right now," he told the Swans Show.

“It's why you come here. Everybody wants to play, for me it is no different, it is good to be part of this.

“I am a better player now for sure. The first half of last season was difficult with the two managers but, especially with Paul (Clement) the training was so good and helped me, and now I feel stronger and more ready to play every game.

“I have played quite a lot but now. I am feeling like it is getting better, and if you play five, six or seven games in a row you feel strong and I hope I have found my spot.

“I only missed Watford and Wolves so I am pleased with that."
